Team Day at The Whisky Bond and a Birthday Celebration for Ian
As a virtual team – we make a point of getting everyone together fact to face at least once a month for a Team Day – usually held in Glasgow, where our head office is. On Friday, we ended the week nicely with our June team Day. With our team expanding and two new full time members of staff, we decided to hire out the boardroom at the Whisky Bond in Glasgow, instead of using our own offices.
The Whisky Bond is a unique building just opposite our offices at Speirs Wharf on the canal-side in Glasgow. Originally built as a bonded warehouse for highland Distilleries in 1957, since 2012 it has become home to a growing community of designers, makers, creative businesses, artists and social innovators. So we thought this was an excellent venue for us Steemies.
An added benefit – we got to celebrate our new Finance and Project Director, Ian’s Birthday (21 again!). Of course there’s no celebration without a big old chocolate cake and a very tuneful happy birthday sing song. Ian – you’re officially a Steemie now and we couldn’t be happier!
