Wheels up for Northern Ireland NVQ6
Last week saw the final workshop for our Northern Ireland NVQ6 group and what a day it was!
The workshop topic was Developing People and we had some exciting additions on the day for the last session, including our guest speaker Gavin McGuire, NI Director for the Federation of Master Builders (FMB). Gavin demonstrated the new FMB online e-learning suite (including 5 minute Toolbox Talks).
Trudy also took the group to experience the CITB NI Mobile Training Unit (MTU). The MTU is effectively a training facility on wheels and can be rented for only £300 for on-site training (toolbox talks etc).
Finally, delegates got to experience the CITB NI’s brand new virtual reality box – VET360 which can be used to capture a virtual version of your construction site or work location, allowing you to experience it in a safe environment.
Both of these are a brilliant examples of the innovation that we are seeing coming out of Northern Ireland and the training industry on the whole…exciting times ahead!
The feedback Esteem received in the final session was incredibly positive and reminded us why we do what we do. To see a group of people finish a programme feeling so positive and empowered is a fantastic thing, not to mention the friendships that have developed amongst the group.
