October Brings the Start of a our New MA Occupational Work Supervisor Programme

With October, and the Autumn, came the launch of our brand new MA Occupational Work Supervisory Programme.  We are very excited to launch this new product – which we developed as a result of customer demand.  The Supervisory programme, which leads to an SVQ3 in Occupational Work Supervision – and is 100% funded by Skills Development Scotland, is aimed at Foremen and acting Supervisors – who perhaps haven’t done any VQs before, or are nervous about taking that first step.

The programme aims to ease candidates in gently to the world of VQs – and to switch them on to future learning and career progression.  The OWS Qualification only has 7 Units, so is much smaller than the other qualifications Esteem offers – and as such the programme is delivered over a 4 month period – via 4 x 1/2 day workshops, online e-portfolio, 121s, site visits and telephone coaching.

At the workshop last week – our 20 new candidates arrived eager and early, which is always a good sign!  Especially given we had 2 candidates arrive all the way from the Isle of Bute and 4 from Aberdeen.  Our candidates for this programme are from all over Scotland and we appreciated the effort made to arrive at the workshop on time.

We are delighted to have this new Programme off the ground and best of luck to all our OWS starts – we look forward to working with you all!
