Our Steemies Go the Extra Mile for Our Candidates
We always say our team at Esteem like to go the extra mile for our clients and candidates…
Well, our wonderful Finance director Ian takes the train from Newcastle to Glasgow at least once a week. Last week he took this gorgeous picture on his journey up.
Ian tells us about his journey and why he enjoys going the extra mile…
“I travel from Newcastle to Glasgow regularly and I take full advantage of it. The journey gives me uninterrupted time of working on my laptop, catching up with emails, candidates and my colleagues. The view of the Northumbrian coast also makes the very early starts extremely worthwhile.”
Our Quality Manager Debbie travels from Coventry to Glasgow every few weeks. She takes full advantage of the journey, assessing work and evidence from both candidates and assessors. Whilst she absolutely loves her time in Glasgow with the rest of the Steemies, she can’t wait to be reunited with her cats.
It just goes to show, that if you prepare and put in the effort, you can work anywhere and everywhere.
Our sales team also regularly travel far and wide across Scotland. Last week our Steemies Laura and Laura travelled across Argyll, meeting with candidates to sign them up to our #SVQLevel3 Construction Site Supervision programme.
This funded SVQ3 is a brilliant opportunity for Site Supervisors to develop within their role. It consists of 5 half day developmental workshops which discuss the roles and responsibilities of a Supervisor. Certain processes and templates are also discussed to help candidates improve their project and people management skills. Candidates will also have an on-site visit with their assessor and a handful of 1:1 sessions. These are designed to ensure that candidates are supported, and all questions answered.
