A successful Start for our first SVQ Level 3 programme in Argyll
A great milestone for the Esteem team as we run our first SVQ3, Occupational Work Supervision programme in Argyll.
With the help of Argyll Construction Training Group, 19 candidates were signed up to the programme and came from a variety of companies. This includes D.A MacDonald, David Rutherford, MacLeod Construction Ltd, Neil McGougan Ltd, Oban Joinery Services Ltd, SAMS and William Martin Decorators Ltd. This is our first programme in Argyll and it has been fantastic to grow our network and to meet new companies. We are looking forward to receiving their feedback and working with them again in the future.
All the candidates turned up to the Lock Fyne Hotel in Inveraray and were looking forward to beginning the programme and learning more about the key responsibilities of a Site Supervisor. We suspect that the bacon rolls helped build enthusiasm!
The first workshop provides an overview of the SVQ Level 3 programme and what is expected of the candidates in terms of time and evidence. It is also a great opportunity for the candidates to meet their assessors and the rest of the Esteem team who will be supporting them through their SVQ. This workshop was made even more exciting as it was Grant’s, one of our new Steemies, first workshop and second day in his new role. It was great to hear that he found the content interesting and also the delivery engaging.
Our Occupational Work Supervision programme is a fully funded SVQ Level 3 qualification and a recognised route to a CSCS Gold Card. Due to the developmental approach we take our goal is twofold. We want our candidates to achieve their qualification and to build confidence and knowledge.
Good luck to all the candidates as your start your developmental journey with Esteem and work towards your SVQ Level 3 qualification and CSCS Gold Card. We are all looking forward to working with, and supporting you, throughout your VQ.
