Throwback Thursday to Team Tiree!

A couple of weeks ago the Esteem team decamped to the beautiful island of Tiree, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland – for 3 days.

Trudy has a permanent home there, Claire lives and works there and Andy was born and raised on the island – so the rest of the team figured there must be something to the place and boy were they right!

The team enjoyed a Pilates session on the beach, a sandcastle competition, a round of golf, windsurfing on the Loch, several delicious meals (including fresh lobster & crab) and a party at Trudy’s lovely home, to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of Esteem.

Aside from the chance to explore Tiree, the team also gathered to review the year so far and what the future holds for Esteem – the introduction of a £5K training fund for companies with 50 or less employees is a big help for the industry and Esteem can give you a few ideas on how to spend it (Online and workshop based NVQ programmes, in-house tailored programmes and Management Training are our focus).

We are very fortunate to be given the opportunity to step back, look at what we have achieved so far this year and where we want to focus on in the future, in addition to spending some time together as a team.

As Iris said “there are not many companies that would invest this sort of time in their team development” but that is a testament to Trudy and the Esteem principles which guide us all – “investing and growing people is the key to ongoing success“
