“Construction holds the Key to economic recovery” Chief Executive of FMB
The importance of construction in the UK economy was proved with the announcement that the GDP had decreased during 2012 and the fall in construction output of 4.8% was the reason for the decrease. Construction accounts for 8% of the GDP it should come as no surprise that its fortunes have a significant effect on the economy of the country. Until we get builders building again, the economy is not going to recover.The construction industry holds the key to recovery which is why the Government needs to invest in an industry which can start to create growth.
