1. What is the MA Construction Site Management programme?

It’s aimed at construction site managers (or those performing equivalent management roles) who manage and organise work on site and want formal recognition of their competence.

No formal qualifications are required.
Programme Delivery & Structure
4. How is the programme delivered?
The programme includes:
- A toolkit workbook covering 50%+ of the qualification
- An e-portfolio with templates and supportive resources
- One half-day introduction session
- Four face-to-face workshops (typically around 6 hours each)
- Onsite visit (if required)
- One-to-one sessions with an assessor
5. Is this full-time study?
No – the qualification is workplace-based allowing you to complete assessments and evidence collection around your existing job.
6. Are there exams?
No formal written exams. Assessment is based on workplace evidence and professional discussions with your assessor demonstrating competence.
Funding & Costs
7. Is there funding available?
If you’re in Scotland, the programme is usually funded through the Skills Development Scotland Modern Apprenticeship Scheme. If you’re outside Scotland, Esteem can still deliver the programme and help explore funding options.
8. Can I get financial support?
Completion may make you eligible for a CITB qualification grant, subject to eligibility.
