Martina gets Inspired at the Women’s Business & Enterprise Conference 2013
I had a very interesting and inspirational day out yesterday at the WBE Conference, hosted by Kaye Adams (@Kayeadams) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow. Asides from meeting some very inspirational women, including Madi Sharma (@madisharma1).
Some little snippets I noted down to share;
• Only 18% of Scottish SMEs are female led
• If women business ownership rates equalled those of men, it would equate to a 5.3% growth in the size of the Scottish economy!
Some inspirational quotes:
• “Decide what you want to do and stick to it……until you change your mind”
• “Women are like T bags, they only know their strength when they are dipped in hot water”
• “Don’t ask permission but seek forgiveness later”
