Construction Site Supervision (SCQF 7)

We deliver the Modern Apprenticeship in Construction Site Supervision (CSS), which is aimed at working construction supervisors of multiple trades, who are currently in employment and looking to gain a recognised qualification. Funding is available.

Construction Site Management (SCQF 10)

We deliver the Modern Apprenticeship in Construction Site Management (CSM), which is aimed at working Construction Site Managers who are currently in employment and looking to gain a recognised qualification. Funding is available.

This is a recognised route to CSCS Managers Black card.

CSM can also be completed through an online Fast Track programme.

1. What is the CSM Virtual Fast Track programme?

The CSM Virtual Fast Track programme is an accelerated route to achieving the SVQ Level 5 (SCQF Level 10) in Construction Site Management. It’s designed to help experienced site managers renew or gain their CSCS Black Manager Card quickly and efficiently with completion possible in as little as 12 weeks.

2. Who is this programme for?

This programme is aimed at Construction Site Managers who manage and organise work on site and require a recognised qualification for CSCS Black Card renewal or career progression. It’s ideal for those who want a flexible, online learning option.

3. Do I need any prior qualifications to join?

No formal academic qualifications are required. Include SSSTS?

Programme Delivery & Structure
4. How is the programme delivered?
  • – The Virtual Fast Track programme is delivered primarily online and includes:
  • – A toolkit workbook covering 50%+ of the qualification
  • – An e-portfolio with resources and templates
  • – Online learning completed at your own pace
  • – One-to-one sessions with an experienced assessor
  • – Onsite visit (where required)
  • – Optional face-to-face workshops for candidates who prefer in-person learning
5. Is this full-time study?

No. The qualification is workplace-based and designed to fit around your existing role, allowing you to gather evidence and complete assessments while working.

6. Are there exams?

No formal written exams. Assessment is based on workplace evidence and professional discussions with your assessor, demonstrating competence in your current role.

Funding & Costs
7. Is there funding available?

Yes. For candidates based in Scotland, the programme is funded through Skills Development Scotland Modern Apprenticeships.

8. Can I get financial support?

On completion of the qualification, candidates may be eligible for a CITB Achievement Grant, subject to eligibility criteria.
