Celebrating David’s one-year anniversary with Esteem

Esteem

Today we took time to celebrate David’s one-year anniversary. We cannot believe how quickly time has gone and how we ever managed without him!

David joined the Esteem team as a talented construction assessor. He has 10 years’ experience as a joiner and is a Carpentry and Joinery lecturer at Ayrshire College. We believed that with this abundance of knowledge and enthusiasm for his role he was going to be a brilliant asset to the team… and we were correct.

Over the past year David has helped a lot of Site Supervisors and Managers develop within their role through our developmental SVQ programmes. In addition, he is currently training to become a programme facilitator. This will mean we can deliver more programmes and help more candidates develop and achieve their construction qualification.

David has also taken the lead on delivering our new ‘Site Based’ programme. So far, he has helped 20+ candidates achieve their SVQ Level 3 in Occupational Work Supervision via this route. This programme model has been a deemed a great success and we are now working with others companies. In addition, some of these candidates are now considering progressing to our SVQ 4 programme because of the skills they learnt, and the support offered by David.

We asked David how he has found his first year as a Steemie:

In the year that I have worked with Esteem, I have developed as an assessor and I have learnt various new skills that I use on a daily basis. I have had the opportunity to work with a range of great candidates, who are working on various projects, and I have thoroughly enjoyed helping them achieve their goals and gain their qualifications. The team here are all great to work with. We work together and support each other which helps us to continuously provide the highest standard of service to our candidates. I am very proud to be part of the Esteem team and i look forward to progressing my career within the company

It has been quick year and we are just so thrilled to have David as part of the team. We look forward to working alongside him for many more years and achieving many more milestones.

Thanks David for being a brilliant assessor for our candidates and a key team player!
