Ladies Day at Ascot (in Inverness)

trudyYes I went to Ascot (with the hat) in Inverness. It was a Marie Curie fund raising event at the Kingsmills Hotel and a fab day it was and £10k was raised. We had a lovely pink champagne reception on arrival, lunch, auction, raffle and then out into the garden where they had a huge screen showing the races at Ascot. The Pimms Bar got well used and we placed out bets in the betting tent.  Needless to say I won absolutely nothing except a hairdressing voucher in the raffle!  It was great to see the queens face though when her horse won!  Another Pimms was called for.  Great event and given Esteem some ideas for some not for profit fund raising…….
