Our SVQ3: Construction Site Supervision programme in Livingston begins

Another brilliant end to the week we began our 7th SVQ Level 3: Construction Site Supervision programme in Livingston. We’re thrilled to be working with these Site Supervisors and helping them achieve their construction qualification and CSCS Gold Card.

This fully funded SVQ3 is a brilliant opportunity for Site Supervisors to develop within their role. It consists of 5 half day developmental workshops which discuss the roles and responsibilities of a Supervisor. Certain processes and templates are also discussed to help candidates improve their project and people management skills. Candidates will also have an on-site visit with their assessor and a handful of 1:1 sessions. These are designed to ensure that candidates are supported and all questions answered.

The first workshop began with introductions and crispy rolls (filling of own choice). We didn’t think that was a bad way to start a Friday! As the candidate came from a variety of companies (Clancy Docwra, F Brown, CCG and P&M Sinclair) there was a lot to discuss as everyone familiarised themselves with what each company does and the role of the candidate.

Candidates were then shown how to upload evidence to our online e-portfolio and began discussing how to approach the planning stage of a project.

Good luck to those who are beginning their developmental journey with us. We hope you enjoy the programme and learn new skills which will help you progress within your role. Also, thank you to Clancy Docwra for letting us use your brilliant training room.
