The end of our sixth SVQ Level 3 Construction Site Supervision programme

On Friday we celebrated the success of 12 candidates who completed their SVQ Level 3: Construction Site Supervision programme. A brilliant achievement and one which leads to a CSCS Gold Card.

Friday marked the end of our sixth SVQ Level 3: Construction Site Supervision programme. We are thrilled to have helped 12 more Site Supervisors develop within their role and gain a recognised construction qualification. The candidates came from a variety of different companies including: CCG, Haldane Construction, Robertson Construction, Interserve and Rooflinings and Cladding. With this, workshop discussions were very interesting as each candidate had a different approach or experience to talk about.

It has been fantastic to get to know all the candidates and we are thrilled with their achievement.

The final workshop ended with a laugh-inducing game called Rollerball. Candidates are tasked with building a bridge for a ping-pong ball to roll down. This may sound simple, however, there are a few twists and turns (literally) that the teams must go through to meet the task objectives. It is always a fun activity which is guaranteed to involve some problem solving, team work and laughter!

This fully funded, SVQ Level 3 is a recognised route to a CSCS Gold Card and is an excellent opportunity to develop your Site Supervisors. It involves candidates attending 5 half day workshops which explore the key responsibilities a Site Supervisor has and certain processes which could help improve their project management skills. We believe that these workshops make learning both enjoyable and simple. Candidates are also giving the opportunity to discuss any questions they may have with their Assessors during their 1:1 sessions and on-site visit. Our goal is to ensure that candidates are supported and motivated to complete their qualification on time.

However, don’t just take our word for it:

The programme is very informative, worthwhile and beneficial. It has helped me develop my confidence and knowledge. I would recommend this programme to others and will inform collegues about it
