The First Team Day of 2020 for the Steemies

It was the first of our quarterly Team Days for the Steemies. A great opportunity to get the entire team together, share ideas and plan for another successful year.

2019 proved to be an exciting yet challenging year for everyone at Esteem. Yet again, the strong work ethic and enthusiasm of the team allowed us to overcome any obstacles that came our way.

2019 saw the addition of 2 members of the team, Laura and Kevin. Laura our Business Development Coordinator and Kevin our Admin Apprentice, have already become key team players and we can’t wait to see their journey with esteem continue to flourish.

The Team day was a great opportunity to reflect on the past year and come up with new ideas and opportunities for 2020 – and we have lots of exciting things up our sleeves, watch this space!!

All our assessors have been extremely busy assessing and supporting their candidates through our programmes. However, we took time to celebrate the amazing achievement of our assessor Allan who completed his 200th candidate (albeit it’s 205 now).

We also had the amazing Yvonne Gilfillan from Infinite Fusion join us as our guest speaker for the day. Yvonne is the Managing Director of Infinite Fusion and created the What-IF programme. What-IF is a coaching and motivational programme designed to help encourage, guide and empower individuals to visualise, aim and succeed in achieving success. The programme is intended for young persons between the age of 14-18 years old, with added variances of the programme allowing delivery to learners who may be considered either academically astute or those that may not be reaching their full learning potential (infinitefusion.co.uk, 2020).

Yvonne was so passionate about her programmes and the difference it can make to the lives of young people that it made all the Steemies want to do more (we’re on it Yvonne!). Yvonne also held an interactive workshop where we had different, yet exciting tasks based around communication. It led to a room full of laughs, smiles and bananas…

We can’t thank Yvonne enough for bringing such brightness and motivation to the room. We can’t wait to have you back soon!

And so, 2020 is in full swing and the Steemies can’t wait to bring all our exciting ideas to the forefront. As part of this, we are looking to expand Esteem and are on the lookout for passionate and motivated people including trainee assessors and other support colleagues. If you have a passion for helping others succeed and have an interest in the construction industry, we would love to hear from you.

Please send your CV to  ian@esteemtraining.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
